Job Description

• Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for the Americas region that is fully aligned with Forter’s global objectives and growth targets. • Partner closely with regional leadership in EMEA and APAC to ensure a consistent global partner and alliances strategy, sharing best practices and driving coordinated execution across regions. • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use insights to shape the company's global market positioning and product development efforts. • Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic alliances, partnerships, and collaborations which extend the company’s reach into digital agencies, system integrators, payment companies, and other relevant players in the global ecommerce ecosystem to expand our market presence and reach. • Lead and mentor the sales and business development teams to drive revenue growth. Establish and track key performance metrics and KPIs to measure the success of business development initiatives. • Oversee negotiations, contract development, and deal structuring. Ensure favorable terms and mutually beneficial agreements with partners. • Lead and develop a high-performing BD and alliances team. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and drive results. • Collaborate closely with sales, product, marketing, analytics, and operations teams globally to ensure alignment and seamless execution of business development strategies. • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, partners, and industry influencers. Represent the company at industry events and conferences worldwide.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 8–10 years in business development, strategic alliances, or related roles, preferably in the e-commerce, payments, or fraud prevention technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of the e-commerce, payments, and/or fraud prevention industries, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
  • Deep experience working with major commerce and cloud platform companies such as Salesforce or AWS. SAP, Shopify, and others preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and closing complex deals and partnerships.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a leadership philosophy that aligns with Forter’s cultural norms and emphasizes coaching, collaboration, and high accountability.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven and process-oriented mindset: you build scalable, repeatable go-to-market motions for your team and are highly coachable and open to feedback.
  • Experience operating in global, matrixed organizations and working effectively across time zones and cultures.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities. You are a clear thinker, speaker, and writer – highly creative in messaging and in visually presenting complex topics.
  • Startup background preferred: comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements, with no hesitation to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever needed to help solve problems with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to travel as needed within the Americas region, with occasional international travel to support global partner and customer engagements (likely 20–40% overall).
