THE OPPORTUNITY

This role will serve as the department's product expert, bridging the gap between Product, Communications, External Affairs, and Marketing. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will inform product marketing strategy and execute go-to-market initiatives for our organization. They must develop deep expertise in our products—including features, pricing, and positioning—to inform product development, go-to-market planning, product promotion efforts, and the Training team's education programs. This role will translate product complexity into insights that help the Growth Marketing Director shape strategy and ensure our entire department can effectively communicate what our tools do and why they matter.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead naming and positioning for new products and drive collaboration with the Product team on existing product updates and promotion.
  • Plan and execute product launches, including messaging, timing, budgets, cross-functional coordination, and launch calendar management.
  • Partner with the Research & Insights team to leverage customer research and market insights to inform product strategy, positioning, go-to-market planning, and strategies to increase product usage.
  • Monitor competitors and identify market opportunities to inform product positioning and differentiation.
  • Develop sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, battle cards, and competitive positioning frameworks; partner with the Product team to train account management teams on product messaging and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with content and creative partners to develop marketing materials and build customer advocacy programs, including case studies and testimonials that demonstrate campaign success.
  • Serve as the go-to product expert on features, pricing, and positioning for the Communications, External Affairs, and Marketing department, partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Support, Training, Data, and Legal teams to ensure aligned messaging.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and supervise junior team members as the function expands.
  • All other duties as required.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing with significant product marketing expertise.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and go-to-market execution.
  • Excellent written and oral communications with the ability to translate complex product features into compelling market messaging.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional project management skills.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and campaign measurement.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Customer Experience, Communications, Data, and Legal teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, account management, customer support, data analysts, and legal professionals.

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience in B2B technology or SaaS environments.
  • Background in competitive analysis and market intelligence.
  • Familiarity with marketing attribution and revenue operations.
  • Experience with content management systems and collaboration tools.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. As the product marketing function grows, this role will supervise and develop junior product marketing team members.

This posting is for a full-time, remote, salaried position. Travel may be required on a limited basis to attend all-staff and departmental retreats (1-2 times per year). Additional travel may be required for select positions.

Work Schedule: 

This role requires availability during established, regular business hours (Mon-Fri).


Work Environment: 

Employees can expect to work with distributed teams across all U.S. time zones. Our roles require extended technology usage, and proficiency with virtual communication tools such as Zoom and Slack. Regular attendance in virtual meetings is inherent to every position.


Salary Range Details: $92,700.00 - $116,400.00 - $140,100.00

ActBlue is committed to consistent compensation practices across our organization. Final salary offers will take into account factors such as candidate experience, interview performance and current team salary parity.
