Overview

Lifeway is seeking an Account Executive | NC/SC for the Outside Sales Team. The Account Executive will be an independent, driven individual residing in North or South Carolina, proactively managing a territory that includes NC and SC, with periodic travel (about every six weeks) to VA and MD. Travel to VA and MD is expected to phase out over time.This role requires an outgoing, people-oriented professional who excels at building meaningful relationships and is eager to pursue untapped opportunities to introduce Lifeway’s resources to new and existing clients.

By taking a consultative approach, the Account Executive will act as a trusted advisor, working to understand client needs and position Lifeway’s resources as essential tools for church staff to disciple their congregation. This role emphasizes partnership and collaboration to ensure Lifeway's mission resonates with church communities.

 

This is a remotely based territory sales position. Qualified candididates must already be located in the assigned territory and available for regular local and overnight travel within the assigned territory.#LI-Remote

Responsibilities

  • Lives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work
  • Develops and executes business plan for assigned territory
  • Acts as a regular consultative market presence for current and prospective customers
  • Meets or exceed sales goals through cold calling, networking, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities.  
  • Develops key customer stakeholder relationships and drive customer adoption of Lifeway products.
  • Provides timely and accurate monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts 
  • Actively keeps Salesforce up to date. 
  • Stays abreast of competitive industry and market intelligence
  • Shows dedication to continuous learning 
  • Provide feedback and input to peers and leadership. 
  • Provide feedback to peers and internal teams to aid in the development and improvement of sales materials. 
  • Local and non-local territory travel throughout assigned territory, often overnight

 

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree, preferred

Master’s degree, not required

Doctorate in a related field, not required 

 

Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, required

 

  • Available to travel within the assigned territory 2-3 days per week
    • Includes both local and overnight trips, as required.
  • Missional minded with a heart for supporting and serving the church
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience selling value-based products and/or services.
  • Skilled in cold calling with a track record of initiating meaningful conversations and building rapport with potential clients.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring new customers and managing client relationships,
  • Expertise in lead generation, including both inbound and outbound.
  • Demonstrated success in outside sales, with the ability to build relationships, close deals, and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take on a consultative style when presenting ideas and products
  • Prior experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church

 

Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, preferred 

  • Strong preference for Salesforce experience
