Role Description
OrthoLoneStar is seeking a board-certified Neurologist with expertise in neurophysiology to join our remote neuromonitoring team. As an integral part of our organization, you will provide real-time interpretation of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) studies to help optimize patient care across the State of Texas.
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time interpretation of intraoperative neuromonitoring data and communicate findings directly to surgical teams.
- Correlate electrophysiological findings with the patient's clinical status to support surgical decision-making.
- Conduct comprehensive post-operative case reviews and complete detailed reports.
- Contribute to quality assurance and improvement efforts to maintain high standards of neuromonitoring services.
- Maintain current knowledge of advancements and best practices in neuromonitoring.
Qualifications
- Board-certified Neurologist with expertise in electrophysiology.
- Fellowship in intraoperative neuromonitoring required; a doctorate in the field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of intraoperative neuromonitoring modalities (e.g., SSEPs, MEPs, BAERs, EMG).
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and perioperative care.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Prior experience in IONM is strongly preferred.
