Role Description
As a Senior Manager (IC) in Technology Strategy & Operations, you will collaborate with leadership to define and implement the technology and cybersecurity strategy for the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving strategy and operations within a technology-focused environment, along with a solid grasp of technical concepts and their business implications. You will prioritize strategic initiatives across business units, champion execution, and engage various functions to ensure alignment. This role demands strategic thinking, executive communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the leadership team and key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive multi-year view of our technology & cybersecurity strategy, ensuring it aligns with our Business Unit strategies and financial investments.
- Drive strategy alignment, planning and execution rhythm and operational excellence in collaboration with other Strategy & Ops leads, chief-of-staff team and cross-functional product, engineering and operations teams and other internal planning functions e.g. Finance, Procurement, HR etc.
- Actively monitor the progress and implementation of the strategic initiatives, setting key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure progress and holding teams accountable for achieving the desired results.
- Manage and coordinate the work performed by external strategy advisories to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and deliverables.
- Identify gaps and drive resolution of cross-functional execution across the strategy spectrum.
- Build and communicate senior executive presentations, communications, and definition documents.
- Research, analyze, and articulate the competitive and industry landscape for technology on an ongoing basis.
- Stay engaged with the general technology market, vendors, and partners to ensure that strategic plans are relevant, represent smart investments and are aligned with the service needs of the business.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Strategy, Business Operations or Management Consulting, and/or Product Management.
- 3+ years of experience supporting Infrastructure or Cybersecurity Technology Strategy.
- 3+ years of experience driving organizational change, e.g., leading strategic initiatives, products, services.
- 3+ years in a role with highly visible written and verbal communication across all levels of enterprise leadership up to the Board of Directors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be quantitatively oriented leading with numbers, facts and data sets and have a qualitative lens to identifying the drivers.
- Ability to structure recommendations and build compelling narratives.
- Strong Program/ Project Management skills. Highly organized, attentive to detail and outcome oriented.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to break down large complex problems into simple solution components across multiple workstreams.
- Ability to quickly understand a complex enterprise function in a highly matrixed organization.
- A passion for continuous learning and innovation.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience).
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is: $130,295.00 - $260,590.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
