Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sr. Insurance Risk Analyst to join our Legal department under the Enterprise Risk Management team. This role is designed to support the review, negotiation, and management of insurance provisions in customer, partner, and vendor contracts – including complex joint venture arrangements and international contracts. The position reports to the Insurance Risk Manager and plays a critical role in ensuring compliance and mitigating risk..
What you’ll do 

  • Monitor and manage the Insurance Help Desk for inbound support requests.
  • Analyze insurance provisions in a variety of contracts and propose revisions to align with company risk standards – using contract workflow tools such as Agiloft.
  • Collaborate with legal and sales teams to negotiate insurance terms and finalize contract language; use judgement to determine when deviations from standard terms are acceptable
  • Coordinate with the company’s 3rd party insurance broker to issue certificates of insurance requested by customers or 3rd parties (e.g., banks, landlords) and maintain documentation.
  • Manage requisitions and payments related to insurance premiums, ensuring timely processing and recordkeeping.
  • Provide support for insurance-related activities of joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, or other special projects.
  • Identify and address insurance challenges in international contracts, particularly in Canadian jurisdictions.
  • Support due diligence of 3rd party vendors as it relates to their insurance coverage.
  • Support efforts to document, streamline, and communicate insurance-related processes.
  • Participate in special projects to mitigate risk and optimize insurance coverage.

What we expect of you 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience in insurance contract review, negotiation, or risk management, or 9 years of relevant experience in insurance contract review, negotiation, or risk management without a degree.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating insurance contract terms in a corporate or legal setting.
  • Working knowledge of risk management principles and insurance compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with contract management tools such as Agiloft and document repositories like SharePoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting and explaining insurance decisions.

Pay range: $114,000 - $158,800 depending on experience and skill set
Annual bonus target of 10% subject to terms and conditions of plan
