Role Description
We are seeking a hands-on Staff DevOps Engineer to support deployment, optimization, and operations of our cloud-native infrastructure. This role focuses on building and maintaining scalable systems in an AWS and Kubernetes-based environment, improving reliability, and optimizing infrastructure costs. A key near-term initiative includes deploying a new graph database architecture and supporting a migration from Amazon Neptune to FalkorDB.
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes environments
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Argo (with migration to GitHub Actions)
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Support Elastic cluster upgrades and migrations without disrupting production customers
- Implement monitoring and observability using Datadog
- Optimize infrastructure costs using Spot instances, Reserved Instances, and Spot Ocean
- Manage and improve services using Redis, SQS, and Elastic
- Reduce legacy infrastructure technical debt and improve operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Must be US Citizen
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (K8s), Terraform, and Argo CI/CD
- Hands-on experience operating AWS production environments
- Experience managing Elastic clusters and version migrations
- Experience with infrastructure cost optimization strategies
- Strong DevOps/SRE background with production systems
- Experience migrating CI/CD pipelines to GitHub Actions
- Experience with graph databases (Neptune, FalkorDB, Neo4j, etc.)
- Experience with Datadog observability
