This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Community Marketing Manager - REMOTE. In this role, you will significantly impact the growth and vibrancy of our community by driving engagement strategies and real-world developer interaction. Your ability to keep various community programs moving smoothly will ensure productive connections between developers and our organizational goals. You will be responsible for planning and executing initiatives that foster collaboration and insight sharing among community members. This is an opportunity to shape the strategic expansion efforts of our partner by connecting community members and facilitating meaningful conversations.
Accountabilities
- Be on the ground: 20% of time spent traveling to meetups, conferences, and community events; own logistics and execution when attending independently
- Run community programs, end-to-end: Plan and execute community initiatives, including meetups and Discord programming
- Keep plans tight, dates met: Maintain organized calendars, timelines, and checklists for program delivery
- Own meetup execution: Support IRL and virtual meetups - venue sourcing, vendors, swag fulfillment, and post-event reporting
- Engage daily on Discord: Manage day-to-day Discord activity in partnership with our technical assistant team
- Power the Champions program: Coordinate recognition and logistics for the Champions Program; track contributions and outcomes
- Tell the Community story: Repurpose highlights and insights into blogs, newsletters, and social posts
- Measure what matters: Track community health metrics and surface insights to inform strategy
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in community, marketing, or program management roles
- Proven experience in planning and running community programs end-to-end
- Comfortable owning programs and making decisions independently
- Familiarity with community tools (Discord, CommonRoom) and CRM/marketing systems
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities
- Experience coordinating logistics for events and swag fulfillment
- Fluency in tracking KPIs and communicating results
- Good content instincts and ability to create reusable assets
- Strategic thinker with execution focus
- Hands-on and proactive approach to work
- Familiarity with open source or developer-led communities
