Role Description
Administration of ionizing radiation as prescribed by the supervising physician, generating radiation dose distributions and calculations under the direction of the Medical Physicist and Radiation Oncologist.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline Required
- If hired prior to January 2025, will only require certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) Required
Requirements
- 3 years of clinical experience in a radiation therapy department as a radiation therapist or medical dosimetrist Required
- MDCB - Medical Dosimetry Certification Board Board eligible by the MDCB (Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board) Upon Hire Required
- Obtains Dosimetrist certification within 13 months of hire date Required
- Participation in the learning plan activities as by MDCB (Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board) Required
