Internship Program: HealthEdge offers a structured paid 12-week virtual internship program that will allow you to help drive meaningful and strategic project work that delivers real impact to our teams, customers, and business, while having fun along the way! You will support the HealthRules Payer team and will also get exposure to various departments and strategic initiatives through our Discover HealthEdge weekly series. Interns will also participate in our three-day Innovation Challenge and a final internship project presentation to showcase the impact you’ve made. Additionally, we provide workshops focused on resume writing, LinkedIn profiles, interview preparation, and more!
Your Impact
- Maintain a running tracker of state Medicaid work‑requirement updates, including effective dates, implementation status, and notable policy differences.
- Identify and summarize new regulatory guidance or proposed rules that may impact HealthEdge products or clients.
- Support the development and upkeep of a centralized regulatory calendar with key deadlines and milestones.
- Research Medicaid work‑requirement implementation across states and produce a clear, client‑ready readiness brief.
- Build a repeatable process for monitoring industry sentiment on LinkedIn and other sources, tagging and summarizing insights for the regulatory team.
- Synthesize regulatory trends and external commentary into concise updates that help internal teams understand emerging themes and impacts.
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing a degree in Health Policy, Healthcare Policy, Legislative Analysis, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation development skills
- Understands the basics of a healthcare system
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Detail oriented
- Resourceful and able to self-direct
