Role Description

The Inventory Coordinator oversees packaging inventory movement from plant and outside warehouses to support production schedules. This position will require the employee to work overtime as needed. Overtime is scheduled based upon individual job responsibilities and the needs of the department.

  • Manage flow of materials between warehouse and plant to ensure materials are available for production and communicate any changes accordingly.
  • Ensure inventory meets the demands and expedite/de-expedite materials to prevent shortages/overages.
  • Maintain inventory database for plant and outside locations in QAD.
  • Oversee cycle count adjustments and returns of materials from production.
  • Support co-packing operations by ensuring materials are available based on production needs.
  • Work with MRP Analysts on movement of inventory as well as adjustments.
  • Participate in annual fiscal inventory.
  • Special projects and other assignments as required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years inventory experience within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Food & Beverage or Pharmaceuticals industry experience a plus.
  • Experience with MRP systems required; QAD and WISE preferred.
  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple tasks and projects with specific deadlines.
  • Solid time management skills with strong organizational skills.
  • Self-Starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work independently within a team environment required.
  • Strong working knowledge and proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.

  • The minimum compensation for the Inventory Coordinator is $21.25 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined upon an offer.

Physical Demands

  • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform computer work.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make observations to ensure work is accurate and as requested.
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

  • This position is a remote position.
  • The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
  • The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat.

Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities

  • Follow applicable procedures and work instructions per SQF / Company Policy.
  • Monitor Quality Control Points (QCP) if Applicable QCCP’s.
  • Backed-up by MRP Analyst.
