If you’re energized by mission-driven work, cross-functional collaboration, and shaping strategy in a high-visibility domain, this role puts you at the center of innovation and public safety impact.
What’s In It for You?

- Join a team in an exciting growth phase, where your ideas help define processes and standards
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Define and sustain the strategic vision for wildfire‑related technology capabilities
- Own, prioritize, and manage product backlogs across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Ensure alignment between business needs, regulatory requirements, and technical delivery
- Oversee vendor platforms, subscription-based tools, licensing, and roadmap coordination
- Partner with program and project managers to guide successful delivery without direct schedule ownership
- Support technology solutions such as outage maps, GIS, weather data platforms, vegetation and asset risk modeling, and PSPS capabilities
- Integrate data from external agencies, meteorological sources, and subscription-based risk platforms
- Operate within a hybrid Agile environment and help shape future agile maturity and practices
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment with wildfire leadership, operations, vegetation management, emergency response, and IT teams
- Lead through influence—no direct reports, but high accountability and visibility
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
You don’t need to check every box to apply—if you have strong wildfire domain knowledge and product/delivery leadership experience, you’re encouraged to submit your resume.
- 5+ years in Product Owner, Product/Project Leadership, or IT Delivery roles
- Utility or energy industry experience (regulated environments strongly preferred)
- Experience supporting technologies tied to wildfire exposure, emergency response, or risk mitigation
- Comfortable working in hybrid Agile/Project environments; familiarity with Jira
- Strong vendor oversight experience: contracts, licensing, subscriptions, roadmaps
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes across diverse teams
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with PSPS programs or outage management systems
- Hands-on exposure to wildfire mitigation technologies or modeling platforms (e.g., TechnoSilva)
- Background with GIS platforms such as ESRI/ArcGIS
- Experience with meteorology or weather data platforms
- Familiarity with wildfire regulatory frameworks and safety requirements
- Project management understanding (PMP not required)
Education & Certifications You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- No formal Product Owner certification required—domain experience is prioritized
