Role Description

As a Senior Freelance Startup Recruiter, you will:

  • Manage a range of 3 - 9 startup searches in parallel.
  • Own sourcing, outreach, screening, and candidate management.
  • Provide structured weekly updates and drive momentum.
  • Operate independently, but within a proven, plug-and-play process.
  • Work remotely, in your time zone.
  • Enjoy a full recruiting tech stack including ATS, AI sourcing tools.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, agile environment.

This is high-trust, high-accountability recruiting, not a passive “send resumes” environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years recruiting inside startup environments (pre-seed to Series C strongly preferred).
  • A commitment to bring every project over the finish line - failure is not an option.
  • Experience placing technical talent.
  • Confidence managing founders' expectations.
  • A preference for headhunting and outbound sourcing expertise.
  • A passion for the latest and greatest recruiting tools & tricks, e.g. fair use of AI.
  • Clear, compelling written and verbal communication.
  • A disciplined approach to CRM/ATS hygiene.
  • Deep understanding of which channels convert for different roles.
  • A proactive, ownership mindset.

Requirements

  • Earn up to $12,000 USD per successful placement.
  • Consistent repeat business (60%+ of revenue comes from returning customers).
  • Top performers receive recurring customer assignments and account ownership.
