Job Description
Role Description
We are currently seeking a Product Owner to join our Product Management – Warehouse Technologies team who will focus on our Warehouse Control System (WCS) software. The WCS is a foundational component to operating and managing Lineage’s automated warehouses, as well as a key component in our manual warehouse strategy allowing us to augment traditional warehouses with new automation technology. As the Product Owner, you will be responsible for engaging with a wide variety of business stakeholders to understand their business problems and needs to translate them into functional requirements. You will work with Product Managers to analyze and prioritize the most valuable innovations that align to our enterprise strategic goals. You are a self-starter driven by curiosity and a passion to improve business execution and decision-making through technology.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prioritizes the needs/incoming requests of stakeholders while considering value, scope, budget, resources, dependencies, and time.
- Create product requirement documentation that clearly articulates the problem to be solved and subsequently maintains it with additions, amendments, and removals of functionality.
- Plans upcoming work and supports team capacity for quarterly forecasting.
- Communicates expectations and gains buy-in from stakeholders.
- Translates business problems into technical problems to give clear instructions for developers.
- Anticipates the needs of key stakeholders by maintaining a deep understanding of what they do and want.
- Works with engineers and architects to define a solution for stakeholder and data-driven initiatives.
- Creates, updates, and removes epics and/or user stories in the product backlog.
- Collaborates with engineers to estimate/size each user story.
- Defines and clearly articulates problem statements and acceptance criteria (business requirements) for each Epic and User Story.
- Maps dependencies between epics and stories.
- Prioritizes user stories to deliver the highest value each sprint and ensure that OKR’s and deliverable timelines are met.
- Defines the vision and objectives with metrics for each sprint.
- Communicates and informs Delivery team partners about the status of development progress.
- Participates in sprint ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborates with engineers to answer questions and make connections, while clearly explaining the purpose, problem statement, and requirements.
- Reviews and signs off on completed user stories and epics.
- Removes blockers for developer teams.
- Plans functional demos with stakeholders as needed.
- Approves transition to build, test, and release phases within the product lifecycle.
- Documents the product's evolution.
- Creates communications to stakeholders about product releases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (BA or BS) in business, computer science, or related field.
- 2+ years previous experience as a product owner or business analyst.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and deliver results to a non-technical audience.
- In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, technical understanding of products, and up to date on industry standards and best practices.
- Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with business analysts, UI/UX team, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Close attention to detail and the ability to work to a high standard.
- Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to function in a fast-paced, highly visible, and fast-changing high growth environment.
- Ability to travel 25%-30% of the time for warehouse visits & learnings, planning events, and design sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with KPI development and analysis.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence), process diagram tools, and/or WMS applications is a plus.
- Logistics or supply chain experience.
- Preferred Timezone: Eastern time zone or working hours to interface with European teammates.
