Job Description
Role Description
As a member of the Gas Power Business Operations Center of Excellence team, you will help shape how AI and automation are applied across our business operations organization to deliver meaningful business impact. This role will be accountable for defining and executing the Gas Power Business Operations AI & Automation strategy, enabling teams to work smarter, faster, and more effectively. You will act as the single point of leadership and coordination for AI and Automation within Business Operations — connecting strategy to execution, embedding standard work, and ensuring measurable value delivery. This role is highly visible and requires strong leadership across a matrixed organization, deep collaboration, and a commitment to the GE Vernova Way of Lean, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the development and execution of the Gas Power Business Operations AI & Automation strategy, aligned with enterprise priorities.
- Translate business priorities into a clear roadmap of high-value AI and automation initiatives, balancing near-term impact and long-term capability building.
- Serve as the primary AI & Automation leader and ambassador across Gas Power Business Operations.
- Own end-to-end delivery of AI and automation programs using a structured tollgate process, with accountability for results.
- Develop and maintain standard work for AI and automation program management, including intake, prioritization, execution, and benefits tracking.
- Ensure solutions are designed for scale, reuse, and long-term sustainability across Gas Power.
- Drive initiatives that deliver clear, measurable outcomes (productivity, cost, quality, safety, cycle time).
- Partner with Business Operations and functional leaders to identify, size, and prioritize AI and automation opportunities.
- Track and communicate progress and value realization using standard metrics.
- Lead change management to ensure adoption and sustained use of AI and automation solutions.
- Act as the AI ambassador for Kaizen and continuous improvement efforts, embedding digital thinking into standard work.
- Build awareness and capability through engagement, communication, and enablement.
- Ensure AI and automation initiatives comply with enterprise AI governance, data, cybersecurity, and risk requirements.
- Partner with Enterprise Digital, IT, Legal, and Compliance teams to apply responsible AI practices.
- Balance speed and innovation with appropriate controls and standards.
- Align cross-functional stakeholders across Business Operations, Digital, IT, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
- Influence leaders and teams in a matrixed environment, driving alignment and execution without direct authority.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience leading enterprise or cross-functional programs in EHQ / Quality / Lean, Digital, AI or Automation, or operational excellence in relevant fields.
- Proven ability to deliver measurable business outcomes through transformation initiatives.
- Experience applying structured program management and tollgate processes.
- Strong understanding of Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement principles.
- Ability to lead change and influence stakeholders across multiple functions and levels.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate strategy into action.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Experience deploying or scaling AI and automation solutions within GE or similar matrixed organizations.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI and automation into Business Operations workflows.
- Familiarity with enterprise AI governance, responsible AI, and data risk management.
- Experience building standard work and operating rhythms for digital programs.
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect technology initiatives to financial and operational outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership aligned to the GE Vernova Way, including Lean mindset, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Passion for developing others and building organizational capability in AI and automation.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
- Access to Health Coach from GE Vernova, a 24/7 nurse-based resource.
