Role Description
We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an L&D Tax Senior Specialist to join the Learning & Development team.
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.
Your role includes responsibilities such as:
- Own the end‑to‑end instructional design and development of assigned Tax learning programs, including needs analysis, learning architecture, design, development, and evaluation.
- Design level-based technical learning pathways aligned to Tax career progression and firm priorities.
- Develop interactive eLearning, blended programs, and hands-on technical learning experiences using adult learning and learning experience design (LxD) best practices.
- Partner with Tax SMEs to extract content and convert it into instructionally sound, learner-centered experiences.
- Create and maintain learning assets and toolkits (job aids, practice guides, simulations, assessments) that support application on the job.
- Partner with the Tax Learning Manager on curriculum improvements, learning innovation, and scalability.
- Measure learning effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements using learner feedback and performance insights.
- Ensure learning solutions are designed for consistency, scalability, and global deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, Business, Education, Instructional Design, or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, instructional design, or curriculum development, with experience designing technical or compliance-driven learning preferred.
- Competence and working familiarity with tax compliance and research tools (e.g., CCH Axcess, Checkpoint, GoFileRoom) sufficient to partner effectively with Tax SMEs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex tax concepts into easy-to-understand learning materials.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
Requirements
- Experience designing learning for technical, regulatory, or professional services environments strongly preferred.
- Advanced experience in instructional design, learning experience design (LxD), or curriculum architecture.
- Demonstrated experience designing eLearning and blended technical learning (Articulate, Rise, or similar tools preferred).
- Experience supporting professional services, accounting, tax, or regulatory learning environments.
- Familiarity with assessment design and learning measurement strategies.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed or global learner populations.
