Job Description

• Generate and analyze data on business and category performance to provide actionable insights • Support decision-making processes within the Merchandising team • Aggregate insights to facilitate the development of category and assortment strategies • Conduct ad hoc deep dive analyses to address specific business challenges • Design and execute analytical projects to uncover trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement • Develop a deep familiarity with back-end source tables to create scripts for efficient data querying • Ensure accuracy and reliability of data by continuously monitoring and validating data sources and tools • Identify areas for improvement in existing analytical tools and processes • Regularly collaborate with Merchandising teams to enhance product and assortment knowledge • Develop insights on business performance and strategies to guide decision-making • Develop a deep understanding of the organization's categories and assortment offerings • Familiarize yourself with key performance indicators (KPIs) used to manage the business.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Math, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Proficiency in SQL required with preference towards Python
  • Analytical thinker who can draw sound business conclusions from multiple sources of information
  • Experienced quantitative problem solver who can manage complex issues and interpret large data sets comfortably
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner
  • Self-driven individual who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing scalable solutions
  • Active learner with a propensity for continuous improvement
  • Able to work independently and proactively within the defined scope of responsibility
  • Detail-oriented.
