Role Description

The Senior Product Manager (UK Public Sector) is the UK market authority across our portfolio and is accountable for translating UK public sector needs into clear product direction and measurable outcomes. This is a regional SaaS product management role. You will serve as a key partner to the Regional General Manager. Together, you will shape regional strategy, align commercial and product priorities, and ensure strong execution across growth, retention, and competitive positioning.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

  • UK Market and Customer Insight
    • Build a deep understanding of UK public sector needs, procurement behaviours, digital maturity, and regulatory expectations.
    • Maintain ongoing customer discovery across councils and related bodies; synthesise insights into clear problems to solve and outcomes to drive.
    • Translate UK needs into high-quality inputs for global teams (target users, jobs-to-be-done, constraints, acceptance criteria, and risks).
  • Roadmap Influence (Without Direct Authority)
    • Shape and influence global roadmaps and sequencing to ensure UK success, balancing regional needs with global scale.
    • Produce crisp product recommendations (PRDs, opportunity assessments) grounded in evidence and clear trade-offs.
    • Drive alignment and decision-making across cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Procurement Framework Enablement (UK Public Sector)
    • Ensure UK offers are procurement-ready and aligned with UK buying constraints and frameworks (including G-Cloud 14/15, BOS2, LVPS).
    • Partner with Commercial and Sales on packaging, compliance statements, and positioning that enable repeatable UK procurement.
    • Incorporate framework constraints and timelines into product and go-to-market recommendations.
  • SaaS Retention and Expansion Outcomes
    • Partner with Customer Success to identify renewal blockers and churn drivers and prioritise product work that improves retention and expansion.
    • Define success metrics for UK launches and improvements; inspect results post-release and drive iteration.
    • Build durable feedback loops from UK outcomes back into the global product organisation.
  • Competitive and Market Intelligence
    • Maintain a continually refreshed view of market dynamics, competitor capabilities, pricing/packaging patterns, and procurement shifts.
    • Turn intelligence into practical guidance for product decisions and go-to-market execution.

Qualifications

  • Strong SaaS product management capability: problem framing, discovery, delivery collaboration, and iteration using data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to influence senior stakeholders through concise, structured recommendations.
  • Commercial acumen: comfort with pricing/packaging thinking, discount trade-offs, and revenue/retention impacts.
  • Fluency with SaaS performance metrics and how to use them for product decisions.
  • Strong understanding of UK public sector procurement practices and frameworks (including G-Cloud, BOS2, LVPS) and ability to translate them into product and GTM requirements.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and competing priorities; able to drive clarity and alignment across teams.

Requirements
