Role Description

The Senior Scientific Director, Team Lead will oversee the development and execution of scientific content across multiple therapeutic areas, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based medical education programs. This leadership role involves:

  • Guiding account teams
  • Shaping brand strategies
  • Driving scientific excellence in promotional medical education initiatives
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to clients
  • Translating complex scientific data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Leading cross-functional teams
  • Contributing to business development
  • Fostering innovation in medical communications

This role is ideal for a scientifically trained professional who is strategic, hands-on, and passionate about advancing medical knowledge through impactful educational programs.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent) required
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in promotional medical education content development (advisory boards, speaker programs, slide decks, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret scientific data, multitask, and manage projects independently under tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of established professional medical editorial processes (e.g., AMA style) and ethical guidelines
  • Experience in Oncology is required; GI/GU experience is preferred
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, guide client interactions, and contribute strategically to account growth
