Job Description
Role Description
As the Accountant II, you are a direct contributor to the financial statement close process for the corporate general ledger accounting team. You will be responsible for month-end closing tasks such as:
- Accrual and deferral journal entries
- Balance sheet account reconciliations
- Various other ad hoc corporate accounting tasks
- Assisting with various reporting activities for various internal customers
Key responsibilities include:

Month End Closing:
- Ownership of assigned areas in the general ledger
- Prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, including preparation of appropriate supporting documentation that meets SOX requirements
- Ownership of assigned balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist with other projects on an ad hoc basis

Internal Control and Audit support:
- Provide support for internal and external audits/reviews in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley procedures which supports an effective system of internal control

Financial Reporting:
- Perform analysis of financial results by querying financial data and creating reports
- Assist in the preparation of various internal reports for management and other internal customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 2-4 years of experience in either public accounting or corporate accounting setting required
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products with an emphasis on Excel
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail with focus on analytical skills
- Solid understanding of US GAAP
- Strong communication ability to partner cross-functionally with other teams
- Some mental visual, physical fatigue from computer terminal use
