• Assist in the preparation, process, calculation, and reconciliation of bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for employees ensuring accurate and timely paychecks. • Ensure payroll data is reported correctly to federal, state, and local agencies, maintaining compliance with payroll laws and tax regulations. • Support departmental efforts by collaborating with staff on research and response to payroll inquiries, including taxes and tax notices. • Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including federal, state, and local tax filings. • Reconcile payroll tax accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
