Role Description
This role is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and onboarding high-impact influencers and thought leaders within the small business and entrepreneurship communities to become partners of Thryv. It also involves securing strategic partnerships and ongoing engagements with these partners. The ideal candidate has a strong background in channel sales, business development, or partner management, with a deep understanding of small business market dynamics and will play a pivotal role in scaling Thryv’s Influencer Partner Program to fuel brand awareness, lead generation, and sales growth.
- Identifies and evaluates potential influencers and thought leader partners aligned with Thryv’s brand values and target audience.
- Builds and manages a strong pipeline of candidates, signing at least 3 new partners monthly; secures at least 3 events, sponsorships, or other lead/sales producing opportunities each month through new or existing partners.
- Develops and implements comprehensive partner recruitment and engagement strategies that integrate marketing initiatives, sales pipeline management, and consistent outreach processes to drive regional revenue growth and market expansion.
- Builds and nurtures strong, trusted relationships with partners through proactive outreach and clear communication of Thryv’s value proposition. Aligns on shared goals, negotiates mutually beneficial agreements, and fosters ongoing collaboration to drive co-selling, lead generation, and sales growth.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to develop influencer campaigns and solutions. Works with Finance, Legal, and Operations to manage partner contracts, invoices, commissions reporting, and partner accounts.
- Represents the company at virtual and in-person events where partner relationships can be identified and nurtured.
- Provides accurate forecasting, reporting, and evaluation of partner-driven pipeline, revenue, and influencer performance to ensure quality lead generation and maximize ROI on partnerships.
- Serves as the partner’s voice within the company by incorporating their needs and feedback into strategy, co-creating growth plans that benefit both partners and Thryv, and actively advocating for small business success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent), or equivalent experience, required.
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in Business, Marketing, or a related field, preferred.
- 5+ years of related experience, required.
- Experience in channel partnerships in the role of recruiting, marketing, and/or sales (preferably in a SaaS or small business-focused environment), required.
- Experience in partnerships, influencer marketing, or business development, required.
- 9+ years of related experience, preferred.
- Existing network of relevant influencer contacts in the small business or entrepreneurship space, preferred.
- Background in marketing, communications, and/or event strategy, preferred.
- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Passionate about small business success and entrepreneurship.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to execute tactically.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed targets and objectives.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborates effectively within diverse teams, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment to achieve collective goals and drive success.
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative and accountability who manages partner relationships as if they were their own business.
- Able to develop a deep understanding of Thryv’s products and services within 30 days of hire; familiarity with partner relationship management (PRM) tools and CRM systems like Salesforce.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required.
- Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.
