Role Description
We are seeking a creative and passionate social media talent to join as a contractor. The role develops and executes social media strategies for Cheezburger that increase brand awareness, followers, engagement, and traffic across platforms such as Facebook, Reddit, X, and Instagram.
- Create and curate engaging content
- Promote and distribute Cheezburger's existing content on social channels
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics and trends to optimize performance and identify new opportunities
- Interact with Cheezburger's communities and respond to comments, questions, and feedback, as well as post resources to our content for inquiries related to internet culture
- Collaborate with editorial department to ensure alignment of goals and messaging
- Research and stay updated on the latest meme news, trends, and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
- 2+ years of experience in social media management or similar role - an advantage
- Proficient with social media tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passionate about memes and internet culture
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Canva
Requirements
- Sufficient time to deliver the services, estimated at approximately 40 hours per week
- Location: Remote
- Rate: This is a contract of $3k monthly
- Start Date: ASAP
