Role Description
Are you a high-energy sales leader who thrives in fast-paced environments? Are you ready to make an immediate impact by driving transformative change in K-12 education? Nerdy is looking for a bold, driven, and persuasive Director of Educational Partnerships to join our Varsity Tutors for Schools team and accelerate growth and deepen our presence in school districts in Michigan.
- Own your territory and build a high-velocity sales pipeline with school districts looking for innovative resources.
- Lead with hustle: Prospect relentlessly—cold calls, emails, networking, referrals—and don’t stop until the deal is closed.
- Create urgency and momentum in every interaction. You know how to move school systems from interest to signed contracts.
- Develop and execute strategic, consultative sales pitches that highlight Varsity Tutors’ full suite of live learning solutions.
- Command the room. Deliver high-impact virtual and in-person presentations to superintendents, school boards, and other key stakeholders.
- Be a true product expert—go deep to understand every feature and confidently position our platform as the best-in-class solution for student success.
- Navigate the K-12 funding and procurement process, providing accurate forecasts to leadership.
- Collaborate across departments to deliver a seamless customer experience that builds long-term trust.
- Capture and share market insights, customer feedback, and opportunities to help shape our go-to-market strategy and product roadmap.
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level degree required.
- 4+ years of successful K-12 sales experience.
- Advanced proficiency selling and demonstrating learning solutions.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, web-based presentation tools, CRM, and video-conference tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer-relations skills and high emotional intelligence.
Benefits
- Market-leading salary and variable bonus compensation, paired with clear promotion pathways.
- 401(k) plan with company match and immediate vesting.
- A Remote-First Culture: We embrace flexibility across time zones and working styles to attract top talent and meet learners where they are.
- Recharge on your terms, ensuring maximum productivity.
- Access an all-inclusive learning membership for you and your household, including 1:1 tutoring hours, unlimited on-demand classes, and our full suite of learning products and services.
- Leverage cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate your workflow.
- Medical, dental, vision, life, STD & LTD plans plus strong maternity, paternity, and adoption leaves - numerous options for you and your family.
