Role Description
ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences LLC is seeking an Appian Developer (Intermediate) to join our Low Code / No Code development team supporting the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC). This role focuses on building scalable, user-friendly Appian applications to automate key Army business processes and improve mission readiness.
This position supports a collaborative, multi-platform Low-Code Center of Excellence (LCCoE) environment that includes Appian, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Power Platform, and Army Vantage developers. Team members share best practices, participate in Agile sprints, and support integrated modernization initiatives across the Army enterprise. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with analysts, data experts, and fellow developers to translate complex workflows into secure, efficient Appian solutions that integrate with multiple Army systems.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Appian applications in accordance with Army requirements and best practices
- Design and implement Appian process models, SAIL interfaces, and record structures
- Collaborate with functional analysts to define technical and functional requirements
- Perform debugging, code reviews, and performance optimization
- Support version upgrades, release documentation, and application sustainment activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or 4+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on Appian application development experience
- Strong understanding of Appian SAIL, Process Modeler, and Expression Rules
- Experience integrating Appian with REST and/or SOAP APIs
- U.S. Citizenship required
Requirements
- This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required Secret security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s).
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
- Appian Certified Associate Developer or higher
- Experience supporting DoD or federal low-code environments
- Familiarity with Agile and/or DevSecOps development methodologies

- Remote (U.S.-based)
- Must be able to work 8 am to 5 pm EST
