Role Description

We’re hiring a Field Service Technician – Wash Bay & Preventative Maintenance at our Headquarters in Columbia, MO, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. This position is fully remote.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Overtime pay after working 40 hours
  • On call during the weekend only in special circumstances

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain company wash bays to ensure proper function and cleanliness.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Diagnose and complete small repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Accurately read and record voltages, troubleshoot electrical components, and follow repair procedures.
  • Work independently to complete tasks, with minimal supervision.
  • Follow written directions, technical manuals, and schematics to ensure proper repairs.
  • Document work performed, including parts used and maintenance records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.
  • Travel frequently and stay overnight as required for service assignments.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including the ability to read voltages with multimeters.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Must be able to do expense and mileage tracking, read wiring diagrams, and run conduit.
  • Must be proficient in plumbing (PVC, PEX, GAL, etc).
  • Effectively troubleshoot float switches, flow switches, centrifugal pumps, diaphragm pumps, submersible pumps, etc.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance, field service, or a related role.
  • OSHA 10 certification, preferred.
  • Must pass EquipmentShare motor vehicle requirements.
