Role Description

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Design and develop annual Distributor and Retailer strategies that utilize priority sales drivers to deliver Winebow financial and depletion goals.
    • These annual plans will include brand level sales and marketing activity with widespread communication between the Director of National Accounts, Regional Management Execution Team and key Suppliers.
  • Detailed Account Management:
    • Winebow Wholesale point of contact for Strategic Retail Accounts and Wholesalers within the South East Region.
    • Develop and cultivate long-term working relationships with Wine & Spirit Key Decision Makers and Suppliers.
    • Responsible for planning, executing, and benchmarking annual objectives for Strategic Retail Accounts in the South East Region.
    • Collaborate with Accounts, Suppliers, and Winebow Regional Teams to secure and execute promotional display activity programs to achieve Account depletion targets.
    • Present Winebow Wholesale Brand Strategies to National/Regional Chain Accounts.
    • Monitor new item execution, assess and recommend schematic adjustments, lead the new item process within Strategic Chain Accounts leading to new placements, feature promotions, and displays.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to secure consumer driven programs and events.
    • Responsible for executing and communicating account specific pricing proposals within brand standards across State and Regional boundaries.
    • Conduct review and planning meetings with suppliers.
    • Responsible to ensure Winebow Wholesale field execution for National/Regional mandated programs, marketing and featured activity.
    • Exercise the highest level of trust in all financial matters, including budgets, promotional spending, and every aspect of the Company’s business.
    • Possess ample knowledge of wine industry, existing brands, and competitive retail landscape.
  • Other Functions:
    • Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicates hazards and/or suggests improvements to manager.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Equipment/Machinery Used:
    • Office equipment including telephone, fax machine, copier, computer, calculator, scanner, and printer.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Sitting, bending, reaching, ability to lift 40 pounds, visual acuity, manual dexterity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Successful import wine/alcoholic beverage sales management experience within off premise chain accounts.
  • Experience with National and/or Regional Off Premise Chain Accounts with multiple State Responsibility.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Distinguished oral communication and interpersonal skills. Must articulate in a professional and personable manner to be a strong leader and partner to Winebow Customers and Trade.
  • Ability to have experience working with Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Nielsen/IRI analysis experience required.
  • Overnight travel required, ability to travel 30%.
  • Remote role with required in-office and offsite event attendance as needed to support business needs.
  • Candidate can be based in North Carolina, Florida, or Georgia.
