Role Description
ECS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced SAS Systems Architect to join our SAS deployment architecture team remotely. In this role, you will support DoD initiatives by leveraging data analytics to optimize programs and inform strategic business decisions. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable SAS solutions that align with mission-critical objectives across federal agencies.
- Responsible for managing and prioritizing projects and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality analytical insights and reports.
- Requires consistent, constant, and proactive communications with the client and project team throughout the execution of the data and analytics operational domain across our customers.
- Provides SAS Subject Matter Expert (SME)-level recommendations and guidance to other system administrators, ensuring best practices in deployment, configuration, and performance optimization.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience administering Linux-based environments, including shell scripting, system performance tuning, and troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of managing and deploying microservices-based applications.
- At least (3) years of experience with the SAS Viya platform and providing consulting services to customers.
- Must possess a current Active Public Trust Background Investigation (BI).
- Must possess, or have the ability to obtain a DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level I (Security+, etc.).
- Must possess a SAS Viya 3.5 certification from SAS.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical and business concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to handle complex customer situations and interact with all levels of personnel to provide a quick and effective resolution.
- Proven experience in data analytics.
- Open to traveling within the Washington DC Metro Area, and CONUS.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
