Job Description
Role Description
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. We’re seeking a Senior Technical Data Analyst with a proven track record of deep analytical work. Reporting to the Sr. Software Engineering Manager, you will dig into large, complex datasets, surface issues and opportunities, generate decision‑ready insights, and produce clear analytical specifications that our data engineers and product teams can productionize. This role blends strong analytical reasoning, statistical fluency, and emerging AI‑assisted approaches to drive deeper insight and scalable logic. As part of the Data & Analytics group, your work will power GHX solutions used by hospitals and suppliers to reduce healthcare supply chain waste and cost.
- Lead deep dives on large datasets: frame the problem, define hypotheses and success metrics, apply appropriate statistical methods, validate assumptions, and quantify impact.
- Use advanced SQL (Snowflake) to explore data, perform complex calculations, and validate results.
- Author analytic specifications (logic definitions, business rules, transformation requirements, edge cases, test scenarios, data quality checks) for engineering handoff.
- Identify and triage data quality and lineage issues; recommend remediation and guardrails.
- Translate findings into clear narratives and recommendations for product, engineering, operations, and leadership.
- Evaluate model or logic performance using sound statistical checks and sanity-testing.
- Partner cross‑functionally (Product, Data Engineering, Data Science) and mentor analysts on patterns, definitions, and best practices.
- Develop internal and potentially external BI dashboards to visualize analytical results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years in an analytical role working with large, messy, real‑world datasets.
- Mastery of SQL and strong experience in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts (e.g., distributions, sampling, significance, variability, error checking) applied in analytical work.
- Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems and deliver actionable recommendations with measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, including executive‑ready summaries and clear specs for engineering.
Requirements
- Master’s degree.
- Healthcare supply chain experience.
- Familiarity with Snowflake (SQL, performance profiling); Redshift/AWS experience a plus.
- Python for analysis (polars/pandas, statistical checks, reproducible analysis).
- Working knowledge of AI/ML/LLMs for practical analytics use cases.
- Experience with BI/visualization (Power BI/Looker/Tableau/Sigma) and data quality frameworks.
- A history of setting standards (definitions, tests, templates).
- Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, SharePoint, and related tools.
Benefits
- Health, vision, and dental insurance.
- Accident and life insurance.
- 401(k) matching.
- Paid time off.
- Education reimbursement.
