Position Overview:
Dalcom Engineering is currently seeking a Subject Matter Expert III to provide senior strategic and technical expertise supporting complex engineering, financial, and industrial base initiatives. In this role, you will leverage extensive professional experience and recognized technical mastery to provide high-level advisory support, guide analytical efforts, and contribute to strategic decision-making related to defense manufacturing infrastructure and modernization initiatives. The Subject Matter Expert III will serve as a senior advisor supporting technical evaluations, industrial base assessments, and strategic planning activities related to the U.S. ammunition industrial base.
This position is primarily remote but requires occasional travel to government installations and industrial facilities throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) to support strategic program reviews, senior stakeholder engagements, and technical assessments. Travel is expected to range between 15% and 25% depending on project requirements. Limited international travel may occur depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide senior strategic advisory support to engineering, analytical, and financial initiatives addressing complex industrial base and modernization challenges.
• Apply extensive technical and operational expertise to guide program planning, analysis, and decision-making activities.
• Support development and evaluation of analytical models, decision-support tools, and methodologies used to assess program performance and operational risks.
• Conduct high-level assessments of engineering programs, production capabilities, and industrial infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance to project teams, ensuring analytical and engineering approaches align with program objectives and industry best practices.
• Implement project plans, collect and analyze performance data, and report progress against established objectives.
• Evaluate technical and operational outcomes and recommend improvements to enhance program effectiveness.
• Contribute expert insight to the development of technical documentation including engineering studies, analytical reports, modernization assessments, and strategic planning materials.
• Provide subject matter expertise in areas such as decision logic modeling, ammunition acquisition strategy analysis, database management improvements, and supply chain management.
Qualifications / Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university with 35+ years of relevant experience supporting technical or financial projects.
• Master’s degree in a related discipline with 25+ years of relevant experience may be considered equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance
• Recognized technical mastery within a specialized field relevant to engineering, industrial systems, defense manufacturing, or program analysis.
• Demonstrated experience providing senior-level advisory support for complex technical programs or strategic initiatives.
• Experience supporting large-scale industrial production systems, defense manufacturing infrastructure, or modernization programs is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to independently apply advanced technical or financial knowledge to complex and high-impact project challenges.
• Experience implementing scientific or financial principles, applying appropriate analytical methods, and integrating results into project execution.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to contribute to high-level technical documentation and reports.
