Role Description

This leadership role is ideal for an experienced engineering executive who thrives at the intersection of product, platform, and customer experience. You will oversee multiple engineering teams, driving the end-to-end delivery of complex, customer-facing features across a high-scale platform. The position requires balancing strategic roadmap execution with operational excellence, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and timely launches. You will partner closely with Product, Design, GTM, and Infrastructure teams to translate business goals into measurable technical outcomes. Leading a remote-first organization, you will foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. This role provides the opportunity to shape technical strategy, scale engineering talent, and influence the overall developer experience for AI and platform users globally.

  • Lead and scale multiple engineering teams, owning the delivery of platform and product features across console, APIs, and developer workflows.
  • Translate product roadmaps and strategic objectives into clear technical scopes, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain a high-output, remote-first engineering culture, mentoring managers and senior individual contributors.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration through structured feature lifecycles, including design reviews, QA, release planning, and post-launch iteration.
  • Continuously improve engineering delivery, reliability, and velocity using metrics such as cycle time, throughput, defect rate, and adoption.
  • Provide architectural guidance and oversight without creating bottlenecks, ensuring scalability and coherence of platform systems.
  • Partner with infrastructure and SRE teams to coordinate dependencies and ensure high-quality product launches.
  • Prioritize engineering work based on customer impact, product analytics, and operational insights.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing software engineering teams, including managers and multiple squads (~80+ engineers), with a proven record of shipping customer-facing products.
  • 8+ years building SaaS, platform, or developer-facing products, with strong full-stack or backend expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute complex product roadmaps from concept to launch, balancing scope, quality, risk, and timelines.
  • Experience scaling remote-first engineering teams and building a strong culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in using engineering delivery metrics and improving team workflow, throughput, and reliability.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, decision-making under ambiguity, and ability to foster a high-performance engineering organization.
  • Preferred: experience with AI/ML product surfaces, developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, or workflow-heavy systems.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary range: $225,000–$325,000, depending on experience and location.
  • Equity ownership in a high-growth, fast-scaling company.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees, partial coverage for dependents.
  • Flexible PTO and remote-first work arrangements.
  • Home office and equipment stipend to create an ideal workspace.
  • Opportunity to lead at the cutting edge of AI and developer platform technology.
  • Inclusive and collaborative remote-first culture with strong learning and career development opportunities.
