- Analyze and document client environments to determine optimal paths for deploying infrastructure-based services.
- Set client expectations and maintain clear communication throughout the deployment process.
- Serve as a point of escalation for deployment engineers and assist with complex technical issues.
- Develop, refine, and standardize best practices for cloud deployment processes.
- Mentor and train less experienced engineers on new technologies and deployment procedures.
- Create Technical Implementation Plans outlining potential risks, maintenance windows, and project timelines.
- Deploy IT services including Azure workloads, public/private cloud servers, Windows Server roles, Hyper-V, VMware, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Ensure smooth project handoff to support teams with all relevant documentation for long-term maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience.
- 3–6+ years of experience in server deployment, migration, and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Server roles (Active Directory, DHCP, Print, File Services), Hyper-V, VMware, and Azure workloads.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for network configuration and hardware issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
- Willingness to work after hours when necessary and follow documented processes while escalating unclear variables.
