Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (Southern California) is responsible for accelerating growth by activating and expanding ISC’s independent agency distribution network. This role owns the territory and focuses on turning strong agency relationships into consistent production and long-term partnerships.
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the RSM will work directly with independent agents and brokers to educate, train, and position ISC’s P&C programs for their small to mid-sized commercial clients. The role blends market intelligence, sales strategy, and relationship management to identify opportunities and drive profitable growth.
The RSM collaborates closely with underwriting, claims, and marketing teams to bring data-driven insights from the field and ensure agents have the tools they need to win business. This role requires a strong market presence, proactive outreach, and the ability to quickly identify where ISC can win.
This is a high-visibility territory role with significant autonomy. Travel across Southern California is expected (up to 60%) with occasional overnight stays to support agent engagement and business development.
Position Responsibilities
- Identify key independent agents that can utilize products offered by ISC to assist their customers.
- Train new agents and new agency employees on ISC products and processes.
- Meet with agents and their staff in their offices on a regular basis.
- Add additional agencies to your territory that can drive growth.
- Drive new and renewal production from your assigned agencies.
- Partner with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
- Assist in the roll-out of new program programs.
- Maintain producer marketing database (Salesforce).
- Facilitate product webinars and website demonstrations.
- Participate in various industry trade shows designed to drive additional business.
- Travel up to 60% of the year.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required
- Minimum of 4+ years’ previous sales and/or marketing experience
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in the commercial insurance industry is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, and aptitude to navigate software easily
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the year.

The starting annual pay scale for this position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, training, and experience. In addition, the company offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with match, paid time off, and other benefits.
ISC's salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
