Role Description

This executive role offers the opportunity to lead technology strategy and digital transformation across a multi-business aerospace and defense division. The Division Vice President will shape IT, AI, and enterprise solutions to drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and innovation. You will partner with senior leadership to identify strategic technology initiatives, optimize systems, and evangelize advanced digital capabilities. The position combines oversight of enterprise applications, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and data strategy with hands-on guidance for AI adoption and digital transformation. This role provides a high-impact environment where technology drives measurable business outcomes, including efficiency gains, margin expansion, and operational scalability. The ideal candidate thrives in complex, regulated settings and leads teams to execute transformative solutions.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT and digital roadmap aligned with divisional strategy and aerospace & defense market requirements.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to division leaders, identifying technology-enabled opportunities that provide competitive advantage.
  • Lead AI strategy, including identification of high-impact use cases, deployment, governance, and education of leadership teams.
  • Own the lifecycle, optimization, and standardization of ERP and enterprise applications, ensuring data integrity and cross-business visibility.
  • Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity and risk management frameworks aligned with regulatory standards (CMMC, NIST, ITAR, DFARS).
  • Drive division-wide data strategy, analytics, and digital workflows to improve operational insights, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure and service delivery to ensure secure, scalable, and responsive technology support across multiple sites.
  • Lead IT due diligence and integration for acquisitions, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Promote a performance-driven culture, guiding teams to adopt best practices and achieve measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally in global, multi-site engineering, manufacturing, or product development environments.
  • Expertise in aerospace & defense or other regulated industries, with knowledge of government contracting cybersecurity requirements and export controls.
  • Proven experience with ERP, CRM, and PLM lifecycle implementations; Oracle knowledge preferred.
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI, advanced analytics, or digital transformation solutions in industrial settings.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and integration planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, or related field; advanced degree (MBA/MA) preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% domestically and internationally.
  • U.S. citizenship (ITAR compliance) with eligibility for security clearance preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, change management, and financial acumen with a record of influencing autonomous business leaders.
