Role Description
We’re excited to announce that Longbridge is hiring a Legal Assistant/Paralegal for our Corporate Legal Department. This position will report to the VP Deputy General Counsel.
General Responsibilities:
- Assist Legal by performing a variety of legal support duties, including loan document review to expand new product offerings.
- Conduct legal research; compliance; contract review; preparation and review of loan documents, ancillary documents and procedures.
Primary Job Duties:
- Review loan documents to ensure compliance with consumer federal and state laws and regulations including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, FCRA, Fair Housing Act, Dodd Frank, UDAAP, GLBA, HMDA, as well as FHA/HUD and GNMA guidelines.
- Support new product development and project management including HELOC and reverse mortgage product offerings.
- Support transactional management responsibilities of the legal team.
- Assist in creating, editing, revising, proofreading, and redlining documents (including loan documents, legal contracts, agreements, letters, and other legal correspondence).
- Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal articles related to the mortgage industry.
- Handle guideline issues that have legal nuances, research and advise on direction and next steps for product development.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant job experience.
- 2+ years Paralegal transactional experience preferably in real estate or mortgage industry.
- Experience performing legal research.
- Knowledge of consumer finance and residential mortgage regulations including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, FCRA, Fair Housing Act, Dodd Frank, UDAAP, GLBA, HMDA, as well as FHA/HUD and GNMA guidelines.
- Knowledge of HELOCs and reverse mortgages, a plus.
- Contracts review experience, a plus.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong comprehension and drafting skills.

- Target base salary range is 70-85K which is based on various factors including skills and work experience.
