Role Description
Cala Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our growing team. This individual will act as a professional representative of our organization. We are seeking a positive, highly motivated specialist to join our team remotely. In this position, employees will be responsible for reviewing documentation for medical necessity and submission of said documentation. This is a remote role that will report to the Director, Revenue Cycle Management.
The compensation range for this role is market driven, with a salary range of $65,000 - $105,000. Additionally, we offer a robust benefits package. This offering is aligned with our overall compensation philosophy.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Cala will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
A Day in the Life
- Responsible for answering phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
- Answer all questions from any client, insurances, or patient professionally and knowledgeably.
- Note all communications expediently.
- Review patient documentation for accuracy and qualification.
- Approve and create sales orders for shipments.
- Review Sales Orders for accuracy.
- Manage shipments by sending sales orders to ship when ready for delivery.
- Review Sales orders for accuracy after shipment is completed.
- Create claim and/or invoice by confirming sales order.
- Bill Claims and/or invoices by electronic, paper, or charging credit card.
- Monitor Patient billing module. Update information as needed.
- Communicate and work with clients and cross-functional departments to identify potential risks and solutions for performance improvement.
- Review Sales order reports. Complete reports as needed by Manager.
- Support new and emerging business models.
- Support company goals, objectives, and policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties, as assigned, when necessary for productivity of the Claims Department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Business or Finance preferred; high school or GED equivalent required.
- 3+ years of DME accounts receivable billing experience required (Medicare desired).
- Brightree and Salesforce Software knowledge strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft and Google products required.
- Self-starter who takes initiative to overcome challenges and problem solve.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented and able to plan, organize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
