Role Description
The Coordinator plays a central role in facilitating the day-to-day work of the BOGA Secretariat, its strategic networks and partnerships, and operations and logistics, ensuring that the Secretariat is geared for ambition and impact through 2026 and beyond. They directly support the Head of Secretariat, building networks and helping deliver high-profile events and technical dialogues. They will be comfortable working in an agile, dynamic way, and undertaking international travel where required. They will be identified as BOGA staff. As a central part of the team, they will:
- Ensure effective coordination and communication across BOGA’s networks.
- Support the delivery of high-level diplomatic dialogues.
- Coordinate policy workshops and technical platforms, such as the Major Producers Dialogue and related workshops.
- Support the Head of Secretariat, including background research, coordination and logistics.
- Provide research assistance and other support to the Secretariat.
Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of experience gained within a relevant context (i.e. government, international organisation, philanthropy, research/think tank).
- Strong experience working directly with governments and international organisations, including in the Global South.
- Demonstrated interest in and experience of international and/or national climate, energy and economic policy and processes, specifically on the transition away from fossil fuels.
- Proven expertise in coordination and project management, including designing, planning, coordinating, and delivering complex workshops and events.
- Excellent communication skills and a sharp eye for detail, with the ability to draft and lay out complex information clearly.
- Familiarity with working in flexible and fast-moving environments, including the ability to work in a logical and efficient way and deliver against tight deadlines, in collaboration with colleagues.

- Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French is highly desirable.
