Role Description
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Lead at aiEDU will play a pivotal role in executing the organization's marketing and communications strategies, workstreams, and content development efforts. Core responsibilities include:
- Developing marketing materials
- Overseeing content development projects
- Project managing complex workstreams
- Collaborating with aiEDU's funders and partners to align marketing, communications, and content strategies
- Assessing the effectiveness of marketing and communications strategies using detailed activity reports
This role is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and creative marketer who can shape and amplify aiEDU's narrative and impact.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or content development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience executing multi-channel communications campaigns with demonstrated proof of outcomes
- Comfort managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strategic, collaborative and creative thinker who can adapt and prioritize moment to moment
- Working knowledge about artificial intelligence and its intersection with policy, ethical, workforce, and education landscapes
- Proficient in the use of communications & marketing tools, such as Mailchimp, Airtable, Video Editing, MuckRack, etc.
Requirements
- Location: Fully remote. Up to 15% travel within the United States may be required
- Compensation: $105,000 - $115,000
- Start date: As soon as possible after receiving an offer, though there is some flexibility

Your Responsibilities

Digital Marketing and Content Creation

Execute marketing and campaign strategies that drive partnerships, revenue, downloads, views, and participation in support of:
- Product and curricular launches
- Research releases and reports
- Advocacy milestones and policy moments
- Events (e.g., AI Literacy Day, conferences, convenings)

Video & Multimedia Oversight
- Oversee end-to-end production of aiEDU Studios content
- Work with internal teams and vendors to ensure content is high-quality, on brand, and aligned with strategic priorities

Create compelling content across channels, including:
- Social media (especially LinkedIn and Substack)
- Web copy and campaign landing pages
- Blog posts and newsletters
- Press kits and organizational one-pagers
- Maintain editorial calendars, production timelines, and content workflows

- Support the distribution of media advisories, briefing materials, and rapid response communications as needed
- Prepare media activity reports, maintain up-to-date media lists

- Help shape co-branded communications, announcements, and shared storytelling with partners

- Develop internal communications that keep staff informed and aligned on messaging, campaigns, and organizational priorities
- Create centralized MarCom materials for staff

Draft talking points, briefs, and background materials for:
- Presentations and panels
- Advocacy meetings and policy conversations
- Partner and funder engagements
