Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive – Advancement Partnerships to help lead this next phase of growth. This is a growth-focused role for a disciplined professional who thrives in outbound prospecting, opens doors others cannot, and enjoys leading thoughtful conversations with advancement leaders.

The Senior Account Executive – Advancement Partnerships will help expand PCI’s partnerships with colleges, universities, and nonprofit organizations nationwide. You will introduce advancement leaders to a different way of thinking about donor pipeline development, helping institutions uncover leadership and legacy prospects earlier through scalable alumni engagement and donor insight.

This role combines disciplined outbound prospecting with strategic conversation leadership. Success in this role requires both disciplined prospecting and the intellectual curiosity to engage advancement leaders in thoughtful conversations about donor behavior, pipeline development, and fundraising strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new institutional opportunities through consistent outbound outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn)
  • Re-engage former partners and introduce PCI’s expanded donor insight capabilities
  • Initiate conversations with Vice Presidents of Advancement, campaign leaders, and senior fundraising staff
  • Lead discovery conversations that uncover institutional pipeline challenges
  • Position PCI’s approach as a strategic solution aligned with fundraising priorities
  • Collaborate closely with the Outside Sales Team to advance opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation and pipeline visibility
  • Consistently achieve and exceed defined revenue goals
  • Travel as needed for institutional meetings or conferences

Qualifications

  • 4–8+ years of experience in advancement (major gifts, annual giving, donor relations) or consultative B2B sales into higher education
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience engaging institutional leadership and navigating complex, strategic conversations
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively generate opportunities through disciplined outreach
  • Strong executive-level communication and consultative selling skills
  • High attention to detail with consistent CRM discipline and pipeline visibility
  • Competitive, results-driven mindset with comfort being measured by performance
  • An intrapreneurial approach, someone who builds, tests, refines, and creates momentum within a growing environment
  • Confidence operating in a dynamic, evolving setting without waiting for a heavy structure
  • You are energized by ownership, prefer building over maintaining, and you see ambiguity as an opportunity

Requirements

  • Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exemplary problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills
  • Adaptable to change and enjoys learning in an evolving sales environment
  • This position is remote; however, the employee must reside permanently in one of the following states: AL, AR, FL, GA, KS, MI, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, or VA
  • This is a full-time, exempt salaried position
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional sales experience or a 4-year college degree (preferred)
  • Minimum High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Must successfully pass a background check and complete a reference check
  • This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with uncapped commission
  • Travel is required

  • PTO (vacation, sick, personal, holidays, half-holidays)
