Job Description
Job Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25 - 50 % to SOLV Energy projects throughout the United States.
- Minimum of 5 years of environmental compliance experience, with demonstrated experience supporting electric operating facilities or long-term asset management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Policy, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), or a related field .
- Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), Registered Environmental Professional (REP), Registered Environmental Manager (REM) or similar.
- Certified Erosion, Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI) or similar Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar.
- Experience in utility-scale renewable energy, power generation, or industrial facilities preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including: Clean Water Act (CWA) NPDES and industrial stormwater permits Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) requirements Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Hazardous and universal waste regulations Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) Chemical reporting and emergency notification requirements Air quality regulations for stationary sources Federal, state, and local natural resource protection laws.
- Experience managing environmental compliance for substations, BESS, solar PV facilities, or similar infrastructure is strongly preferred.
- Ability to interpret state and federal permits and regulatory requirements, Conditional Use Permits (CUPs), and technical plans.
- Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing and training delivery.
- Demonstrated independent judgment, effective prioritization, and ability to operate with minimal supervision across multiple states and sites.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, environmental data systems, and AI tools.
