Job Description
Vice President, Learning Design & Technology
The Vice President, Learning Design & Technology (LDT) provides senior leadership for Evidence In Motion’s instructional design, educational technology, and content production ecosystem. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and serving as a member of EIM’s Senior Leadership Team, the Vice President leads within a highly matrixed organization and ensures that Learning Design, Educational Technology, and LDT Operations function as a single, integrated, outcome-driven system aligned to University Partner commitments, academic quality standards, and enterprise priorities.
The Vice President is accountable for partner success, scalable delivery, and operational and financial efficiency, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality hybrid learning experiences across EIM’s University Partner and product portfolios. The role owns EIM’s enterprise learning design and development framework and serves as a trusted advisor to University Partners, translating best practices in hybrid and accelerated education into scalable standards and implementation models that balance academic rigor, learner experience, accreditation requirements, and cost-to-deliver considerations.

Key Responsibilities
Executive & Cross-Functional Leadership
Serve as a member of EIM’s Senior Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise strategy, organizational planning, and executive decision-making.
Represent Learning Design & Technology in senior leadership forums, ensuring instructional quality, scalability, and delivery considerations are embedded in enterprise priorities.
Collaborate with peer senior leaders to align LDT strategy with EIM’s mission, value-creation drivers, and long-term growth objectives.
Enterprise Strategy & LDT Vision
Define and execute the long-term vision and strategic roadmap for Learning Design & Technology, aligned to academic, operational, and growth objectives.
In partnership with academic leadership, serve as a trusted advisor to University Partners by translating best practices in hybrid and accelerated education into actionable standards, playbooks, and implementation models that partners can adopt and sustain.
Establish clear priorities, success measures, and performance indicators for LDT services supporting partner programs, curriculum products, and enterprise initiatives.
Anticipate future instructional, technological, and operational needs and position LDT to respond proactively.
Organizational Leadership & Governance
Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing LDT team, including Directors of Learning Design, LDT Operations, and Educational Technology & Innovation.
Ensure clear role definition, decision rights, and operating interfaces between LDT and adjacent Academic Services teams.
Establish governance frameworks that define accountability, escalation pathways, and disciplined execution across LDT functions for internal and external stakeholders.
Partner closely with Finance and Enterprise Delivery to ensure budget discipline, operational efficiency, and scalable service models.
Ensure learning design and delivery decisions are informed by accreditation requirements, learner outcomes, operational efficiency, and cost-to-deliver analysis.
Design and maintain resourcing models that balance internal talent, contingent labor, and vendor capacity to meet launch timelines, ongoing support needs, and financial targets.
Oversee external contractors and vendor partners, including selection, onboarding, performance management, and cost control, ensuring quality, scalability, and alignment to enterprise standards.
Educational Technology & Innovation Leadership
Provide strategic oversight of educational technologies, platforms, and tools that support effective content development and delivery.
Champion responsible innovation, including the evaluation and adoption of AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies that enhance instructional quality, efficiency, and scalability.
Ensure technology investments align with instructional needs, accessibility requirements, and long-term sustainability.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or a related field.
12+ years of progressive leadership experience in instructional design, educational technology, or digital learning environments.
Demonstrated success leading large, multidisciplinary teams and managing complex, matrixed operations.
Strong executive communication skills, financial acumen, and proven change leadership capability.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree (PhD or EdD).
Experience in OPM, healthcare education, or other highly regulated academic environments.
