The Vice President is accountable for partner success, scalable delivery, and operational and financial efficiency, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality hybrid learning experiences across EIM’s University Partner and product portfolios. The role owns EIM’s enterprise learning design and development framework and serves as a trusted advisor to University Partners, translating best practices in hybrid and accelerated education into scalable standards and implementation models that balance academic rigor, learner experience, accreditation requirements, and cost-to-deliver considerations.

  • Represent Learning Design & Technology in senior leadership forums, ensuring instructional quality, scalability, and delivery considerations are embedded in enterprise priorities.

  • Collaborate with peer senior leaders to align LDT strategy with EIM’s mission, value-creation drivers, and long-term growth objectives.

Enterprise Strategy & LDT Vision

  • Define and execute the long-term vision and strategic roadmap for Learning Design & Technology, aligned to academic, operational, and growth objectives.

  • In partnership with academic leadership, serve as a trusted advisor to University Partners by translating best practices in hybrid and accelerated education into actionable standards, playbooks, and implementation models that partners can adopt and sustain.

  • Establish clear priorities, success measures, and performance indicators for LDT services supporting partner programs, curriculum products, and enterprise initiatives.

  • Anticipate future instructional, technological, and operational needs and position LDT to respond proactively.

Organizational Leadership & Governance

  • Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing LDT team, including Directors of Learning Design, LDT Operations, and Educational Technology & Innovation.

  • Ensure clear role definition, decision rights, and operating interfaces between LDT and adjacent Academic Services teams.

  • Establish governance frameworks that define accountability, escalation pathways, and disciplined execution across LDT functions for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Partner closely with Finance and Enterprise Delivery to ensure budget discipline, operational efficiency, and scalable service models.

  • Ensure learning design and delivery decisions are informed by accreditation requirements, learner outcomes, operational efficiency, and cost-to-deliver analysis.

  • Design and maintain resourcing models that balance internal talent, contingent labor, and vendor capacity to meet launch timelines, ongoing support needs, and financial targets.

  • Oversee external contractors and vendor partners, including selection, onboarding, performance management, and cost control, ensuring quality, scalability, and alignment to enterprise standards.

Educational Technology & Innovation Leadership

  • Provide strategic oversight of educational technologies, platforms, and tools that support effective content development and delivery.

  • Champion responsible innovation, including the evaluation and adoption of AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies that enhance instructional quality, efficiency, and scalability.

  • Ensure technology investments align with instructional needs, accessibility requirements, and long-term sustainability.

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or a related field.

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in instructional design, educational technology, or digital learning environments.
