Job Description

Overview

The collection representative works with patients, family members and clinic personnel to ensure good internal and public relations while decreasing accounts receivable and maximize clinic revenue. This remote position requires excellent phone skills and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities: 

  • Receive and resolve patient correspondence regarding insurance billing, and initiate accurate account adjustments; follow all billing problems through to conclusion
  • Answer all correspondence relating to billing questions; make appropriate financial arrangements
  • Verify insurance status, eligibility and general account information
  • Assist patients with courtesy billing
  • Work assigned eClinical Works Collections Cycle accounts. 
  • Identify claims with errors and communicate with appropriate staff to initiate corrective action.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training
