Job Description

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a strategic enterprise customer. • Lead and coordinate a global team of SDS Authoring Specialists and subject matter experts. • Act as a subject matter expert in all aspects of SDS Authoring from a global perspective, with particular focus on EU requirements. • Author, review, and approve complex Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in alignment with global GHS requirements. • Oversee quality, consistency, and on-time delivery of SDS authoring projects. • Provide clear reporting, regulatory insights, and recommendations to support client decision-making and long-term partnership success. • Champion effective use of authoring and regulatory management tools, including the Authoring Management Portal (AMP). • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, quality controls, and reporting processes. • Ensure regulatory updates and classification changes are reflected accurately and efficiently in client documentation. • Partner with internal technical, regulatory, and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. • Contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. • Mentor team members and share best practices to strengthen global consistency and compliance.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Extensive experience in Global EHS and Product Stewardship, with deep hands-on SDS Authoring experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), including practical application across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in EU regulatory requirements (including REACH and CLP) and experience authoring SDSs for EU markets.
  • Experience supporting both petroleum substances and formulated products.
  • Practical experience classifying mixtures and substances, interpreting toxicological and ecotoxicological data, and applying hazard communication requirements.
  • Proven experience leading projects or client-facing initiatives across global or cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate contributors and priorities across regions and time zones.
