Job Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- 8+ years of commercial transactions experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have spent meaningful time in-house at a technology or SaaS company
- Demonstrated ability to independently draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements with minimal oversight
- Proven track record of advising senior business leaders and non-legal stakeholders on contractual risk in a way that drives decisions forward
- Experience creating negotiation playbooks, clause libraries, and other scalable legal tools
- Experience working with procurement teams and non-lawyer business partners across functions, including finance, cybersecurity, and product/engineering
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management platforms (Ironclad experience a plus), or a willingness to roll up your sleeves and become an Ironclad expert
- Working knowledge of intellectual property, data privacy, and cybersecurity concepts as they arise in commercial agreements
- Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload by prioritizing based on business impact
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor your message for audiences ranging from engineers to executives
- Experience working on diverse, cross-functional legal teams.
