About the Role
Haulotte is seeking a detail-driven Product Safety & Compliance Manager to ensure our aerial work platform products are safe to operate throughout their lifecycle and compliant with applicable standards, local legislation, and certification requirements across global markets.
In this role, you will serve as the organization’s regulatory and compliance expert—guiding certification efforts, conducting safety and risk analyses, and collaborating within  standards committees, authorities and manufacturers associations to support Haulotte’s strategic interests.

What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all machines—including subsidiary modifications—fully comply with safety standards, legislation, and registration requirements.
  • Lead incident notification, customer/authority communication, and documentation activities.
  • Approve machines for market release and track upgrade/corrective campaigns.
  • Conduct hazard/risk analyses to identify non-compliance areas and safety gaps.
  • Investigate safety concerns and drive corrective actions to closure.
  • Maintain and improve procedures for compliance, registration, and risk management.
  • Develop and update technical files to obtain market certifications/type-approvals.
  • Collaborate with governmental bodies, notified bodies, and standards associations (e.g., ANSI).
  • Translate regulatory standards into clear, testable technical requirements.
  • Participate in new product development from concept to serial production.
  • Represent Haulotte in industry association meetings and standards committees.
  • Provide regulatory insights to design, manufacturing, and leadership teams.
  • Manage certification documentation and digital recordkeeping (e.g., ARAS for PLM, M3 for ERP).

What You Bring
Education:
  • Master’s degree (or 5-year equivalent) in Mechanical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in regulatory affairs, product safety, quality, or standardization within industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with aerial work platform equipment or related machinery preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in certification, audits, and compliance across the product lifecycle.
Technical & Professional Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical/electronic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to interpret standards, legislation, and test/validation requirements.
  • Proficiency in risk management methodologies and document control.
  • Familiarity with PLM/ERP systems (e.g., ARAS, M3).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized, methodical, pragmatic, and analytical.
  • Fluent English (written & spoken) required.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This role may include exposure to:
✔ Manufacturing settings
✔ Mechanical & electrical equipment
✔ Outdoor environments
The position may require climbing equipment, mounting/dismounting vehicles, and moving between office and warehouse environments.

Additional Information
Travel: Occasional travel to manufacturing sites, notified bodies, customers, and authorities (estimate: up to 20%, depending on location and projects)
Remote work: Available within the US, with periodic on-site visits as required.
