Job Description
In this role, the Partner will work in a highly collaborative, team environment to provide legal counsel to organizations investigating and responding to data privacy and cybersecurity incidents. In managing their caseload, Partners will oversee and advise Associates as they collect information needed to understand the issue and scope of each situation, engage and direct experts needed to appropriately investigate and respond to the event, ensure compliance with all applicable laws regarding data privacy event investigation and response, and communicate to regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and other third-parties as needed while serving as the primary client contact throughout the investigation. Due to the unpredictable nature of cybersecurity events, all Partners and Associates participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide crisis management support to our clients that requires limited availability outside normal business hours.
The ideal candidate will have membership in good standing to a state Bar, experience with cybersecurity law, and an enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude. Exceptional analytic, writing, communication, and preparation skills, plus focused attention to detail are key to performing well in our highly responsive environment. Candidates should demonstrate initiative and the ability to independently maintain their own caseload while providing guidance and mentorship to Associates at the Firm.
We are currently looking for attorneys who generally bring 6-12 years of experience, with preference given to those who have worked in private or in-house practices responsible for data privacy, cybersecurity, healthcare, and regulatory compliance, or on behalf of a regulatory agency involving data privacy and cybersecurity matters.
