Job Description
Role Description
You will lead SkyFi’s European and Allied business development, working with defense and intelligence agencies to deliver mission-aligned geospatial solutions. You will shape opportunities and ensure delivery meets mission-critical needs. You will be expected to:
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships across Allied Command structures and European Ministries of Defense, as well as with national program offices and operational units.
- Identify, shape, and influence upcoming defense solicitations, including RFIs, RFPs, framework agreements, and multinational capability initiatives aligned to geospatial, ISR, and space-based mission needs.
- Lead strategic account planning and capture efforts, coordinating closely with product, engineering, and program management to align SkyFi capabilities with coalition and national mission requirements.
- Drive contract pursuits from early engagement through award, including positioning, teaming strategy, proposal input, pricing coordination, and executive engagement.
- Represent SkyFi at international exercises, multinational demonstrations, defense conferences, and industry forums, ensuring operational users understand the practical application of our platform.
- Provide structured market intelligence and competitive insight, including analysis of funding streams, capability gaps, emerging coalition priorities, and policy shifts that impact European defense acquisition.
- Establish SkyFi’s regional presence from the ground up, building long-term trust with military operators, acquisition officials, and defense leadership across multiple member states.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience selling geospatial, space, ISR, or defense technology into Allied or European Ministries of Defense, with demonstrated ownership of regional pipeline development and account growth.
- Strong understanding of NATO structures and European defense procurement pathways, including framework agreements, multinational funding mechanisms, national MOD acquisition processes, and coalition program dynamics.
- Proven experience navigating multi-country stakeholder environments, including aligning operational users, procurement authorities, and political leadership across member states.
- Documented history of shaping and closing multi-year defense contracts or framework placements, including early positioning prior to formal tenders.
- Ability to identify operational capability gaps and translate them into capture strategies, coordinating internally to align technical solutions with mission requirements.
- Comfort operating in complex, multinational environments, including coalition exercises, joint task forces, and evolving security postures across Europe.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe and NATO member nations, including for exercises, demonstrations, and in-person relationship building.
- Executive presence with senior military officers and defense officials, combined with the ability to engage directly with operational users and technical staff.
- Team-oriented but independently driven, capable of establishing a regional presence, building credibility from the ground up, and expanding accounts with limited oversight.
- Fluency in English required. Additional European languages strongly preferred.
Benefits
- Be well compensated. Possibility for equity.
- Travel to customer meetings, conferences, and exercises. Minimum travel will likely be quarterly if not more frequently.
- Receive best-in-class benefits, including premium medical, dental, and vision coverage, 20 days paid time off, and parental leave.
- Play a critical role in building a market-changing product in the exciting realm of Space.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that rewards initiative, innovation, and getting things done.
Salary Band
$150,000–$170,000 USD base salary; OTE $250,000–$290,000 USD (base + variable) depending on experience and performance.
