Job Description
Role Description
We are looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to own and scale Kudoboard’s customer lifecycle marketing engine — with a strong emphasis on email marketing, marketing automation, and revenue-driving nurture programs. This role is responsible for planning, building, executing, and optimizing lifecycle campaigns across the customer journey — from acquisition and activation to retention, upsell, and expansion.
You will own the email calendar, manage newsletter strategy, rebuild and optimize customer marketing journeys, and partner closely with product marketing to launch campaigns that drive engagement and revenue. This role reports directly to the CMO and offers significant autonomy and impact.
If you think in funnels, obsess over open rates and conversion rates, love building nurture flows, and want measurable ownership over revenue impact — this role is for you.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, or marketing automation.
- Strong experience with email marketing platforms (SendGrid experience preferred).
- Proven experience building automated nurture flows and lifecycle journeys.
- Experience managing email calendars and campaign planning.
- Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and behavioral triggers.
- Experience in B2B SaaS and/or product-led growth environments preferred.
- Proficiency in CMS platforms (WordPress or similar), CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), Google Analytics, and marketing automation tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action.
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize based on revenue impact.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Self-starter with a high sense of ownership and accountability.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Own and manage the full customer email marketing calendar.
- Build, optimize, and scale lifecycle journeys (welcome, onboarding, activation, upsell, retention, win-back).
- Rebuild and improve customer marketing emails to drive stronger engagement and revenue.
- Create and manage email newsletters that drive product adoption and customer retention.
- Design and execute nurture programs tied to product usage, segmentation, and behavioral triggers.
- Monitor and optimize KPIs including open rate, CTR, conversion rate, retention, expansion revenue, and LTV.
- Manage email marketing platforms (SendGrid experience is a plus).
- Build automated workflows, segmentation logic, and performance dashboards.
- Collaborate with sales and product teams to align lifecycle touchpoints.
- Ensure data cleanliness and alignment between CRM and email platforms.
- Assist with product marketing campaigns and launches.
- Support go-to-market campaigns through targeted lifecycle communications.
- Create campaign messaging aligned with positioning and ICPs.
- Partner with paid, SDR, and content teams to reinforce omnichannel efforts.
- Contribute to website content and key marketing pages.
- Support SEO and AEO initiatives with conversion-driven content.
- Help maintain messaging consistency across lifecycle and web channels.
- Build and monitor a comprehensive lifecycle dashboard.
- Run A/B tests across subject lines, messaging, CTAs, and nurture flows.
- Continuously optimize programs based on data and business impact.
- Tie lifecycle efforts directly to pipeline and revenue metrics.
Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 - $100,000.
- Compensation will include salary + annual performance bonus, stock options, 401k match, and health/dental/vision benefits.
