Role Description
The Vision Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales and expanding the customer base in the Midwest territory. This role involves:
- Owning pipeline, forecasting, and revenue outcomes for Chicago/Midwest.
- Starting with hunting for new inspection points and lines, then expanding as accounts grow.
- Turning customer success into aggressive expansion across factories, lines, and inspection points.
- Conducting high-signal discovery with Quality, Process, Automation, and Ops teams.
- Identifying blockers early and pushing them to resolution.
- Building relationships with plant champions, regional leaders, and global decision-makers.
- Negotiating and closing deals with speed and precision.
Qualifications
- Proven seller with a track record as a top-performing seller in industrial/manufacturing technology.
- Technical fluency in automation and machine vision.
- Excellent communication skills, concise and structured.
- High discipline and self-management.
- Willingness to travel frequently to factories.
Requirements
- Path A: Proven seller with traditional sales experience.
- Path B: Highly technical conversion to sales from engineering roles.
- Strong controls engineer, automation engineer, or manufacturing engineer background.
- Ability to earn trust on the factory floor and drive decisions.
