Role Description

This is an unpaid, remote volunteer position. Please read carefully before applying.

As a Product Owner , you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including leadership, product development, marketing, sales, and user support, to drive the product roadmap and bring new Pitch Labs features to market.

  • Support internal stakeholders and customers to drive the most important features for the organization.
  • Prioritize the highest value features for the organization to enable the development team to work efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirement Gathering: Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including sales, customer support, and end-users, to gather and prioritize product and customer needs.
  • Backlog Management: Strategically plan and prioritize the product feature backlog, development tasks, stories, epics, and themes to ensure the product delivers maximum value.
  • Product Development: Partner closely with the software engineering team to iteratively develop and refine new features and products.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster collaboration across marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure financial and customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously collect, analyze, and act on product feedback from multiple sources to drive product improvements.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience with SaaS or cloud products as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles.
  • Proven track record of delivering products from the ground up.
  • Outstanding communication, planning, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical and data-driven, able to extract meaningful insights to make informed product decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to find process efficiencies.
  • Collaborative style with a preference to lead with influence.
  • Entrepreneurial enthusiasm and grit, always willing to roll up your sleeves.
  • Thrive in a dynamic environment, ideally having experience in a rapidly growing company.
  • MUST be based in the US.

Time Commitment

This is an unpaid, remote volunteer position. Although this is a volunteer role, we seek active volunteers who are energized, ready to engage, and make an impact.

  • Please be prepared to contribute at least 5 hours a week for at least the next 6 months.
  • All volunteers must attend their department’s team meeting or 1-1 meeting every week.
  • We enforce a 24-hour response policy to promote a smooth workflow and mindfulness towards ongoing projects/deadlines.
  • We can accommodate volunteers who need time off for exams, work, family events, etc., as long as these commitments are conveyed as soon as possible.
